Disappointment is the unhappiness you feel from the failure of something hoped for or expected to happen. This is the internal fear that you experience when it comes to wanting and desiring more. For a lot of us, we don’t want to desire because we’re unwilling to experience disappointment.

So in this episode, I want to help us understand the disappointment in such a way that we are okay with experiencing it. When we put it all together we have to understand our cultural history, which is the danger of desire, the immortality of desire, greed,  and our lack of tools for preparing ourselves for experiencing discomfort, disappointment. Once we understand this we can move on to the work of cultivating desire.
